July 2022 Newsletter

When it comes to gathered meetings of believers, I could not tell you how many times the tone of the meeting is designed to encourage folks, that ‘it’s coming soon…’ ‘we can do it as soon as we get filled’….’we need to think about what’s coming….’ Everyone gets inspired to think down the road. I often find myself sitting in the room asking the question, “why can’t we just do it right here, right now?”  I mean, here we sit, gathered, mature (mostly) believers, each equipped with a gift from the Lord that expresses Who He is—world changers, if you will, and we can only think about the idea of the Lord preparing us to do something ‘later’.

When it comes to giving people ‘permission’, why can’t we just go forward right in that moment, into an open meeting of worship and prayer, and words and Scripture proclamation, that will make an immediate difference right then and there, in the world. The corporate voice of the Body of Christ, gathered in unity, speaking and calling forth, that which we have just been taught, lectured on, edified and exhorted with, forming an immediate movement forward into that which the Lord has downloaded.  Why wait?  Here we are—right here, right now….let’s do it!!!!!

My encouragement is to not wait for the next week, the next month, the coming wave, but step up to plate, sing it into existence, pray it into existence, partner with the Holy Spirit in what HE wants to bring forth that very instant, that very moment.  Think, “let’s move the Kingdom forward right here, right now, under that power, authority and presence of GOD”.  Let’s not wait around until the next meeting.  Let’s do it…NOW.

Is it risky?  Of course.  But the Kingdom of GOD is pretty risky, yeah?  I’d rather clean up a mess, than have a sterile environment that doesn't produce anything.  When a person goes to the hospital for one reason or another, the room is initially, quite sterile, and austere.  Once the patient gets in the room, all the supplies, all the necessary equipment, all the families extra items for comfort for the patient, it all comes flowing in, to make for a viable, living, room of healing.  People come and go, always at work, each one exhibiting their own special piece of the larger picture.  All of it, designed to see the person in the room, healed and made right, back on the road to who they were created to be.  This is the picture of what meetings should be.  Each one, each person, immediately contributing to the healing of the ‘patient’.  No more sterile environments….Let’s go for it.
